Who We Are

In April 2010, we introduced ourselves - the Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association (CBCRA), as the new not-for-profit association with a mandate to meet the government’s goal of recycling 75% of all beverage containers purchased by Manitobans.
CBCRA members are the brand owners and distributors of the beverages that you consume every day. These companies share a commitment to being responsible and increasing recycling rates in Manitoba.

As of August 31, CBCRA has begun to operate under a program plan that was approved by the Minister of Conservation. The plan details the steps that this organization will undertake to help achieve the 75% recycling target in this province.

Accomplishments

In just over a year, under the program banner of Recycle Everywhere, we have…

• Created over 100 municipal partnerships;
• Signed onto the program 65 non-municipal partners;
• Deployed a total of 4,000 bins; and
• Participated in 115 event days in 2010 with more than 150 event days achieved this year.
