Essential Info
CBCRA's Program Plan under the Manitoba Packaging and Printed Paper Stewardship Regulation (195/2008) was approved August 31, 2011.
These documents are also available on the Manitoba Conservation website. Obligated StewardsObligated Stewards are required to achieve a 75% recovery rate. Participation in Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba (MMSM) alone will not achieve the 75% recovery target and MMSM has stated this clearly to stewards and the Manitoba Government. Beverage stewards can register with CBCRA or they can provide their own Program Plan to Government in which they demonstrate that they will achieve a 75% recovery rate with a province-wide program. Stewards under CBCRA need to report on volumes sold in Manitoba on a monthly basis through the CBCRA reporting system. First reports were due November 20, 2011 for the October 2011 reporting period. Please review the following documents to understand any obligations you may have under the CBCRA Program.
If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at 1-855-644-7400 or email at: Voluntary StewardsA Voluntary Steward is a steward with no residence in Manitoba who accepts reporting responsibilities and makes payments on behalf of an Obligated Steward in order to reduce the administrative burden on the Steward. The principle CBCRA is following is that the obligated steward under MMSM should be the obligated steward under CBCRA.
